Hello Spring!… I always welcome spring with some fun spring project!. I have this as a dual project!. I have also made a spring coaster with the same pattern!
Materials Used:
Size8 Cotton Crochet Thread
1.25mm Crochet Hook
Scissors
Earring hooks
Glue and Water for Blocking
Crochet Terms(US Terminology):
mr: Magic Ring
ch: Chain
st(s): Stich(es)
slst: Slip Stitch
sc: Single Crochet
dc: Double Crochet
hdc: Half Double Crochet
dc3together: double crochet three together
dc2together: double crochet two together
Crochet Pattern:
Round 1: Magic Ring , ch2, dctogether(considered as 1st dc2together), ch1, *(dc2together, ch1)*. Repeat *to* 7 times. Slst on top of starting ch2, dctogether. (8dc2together with in between ch1 space). Slst on the next ch1 space.
Round2: ch2,dc2together, ch1, dc3together on the ch1 space of round1, ch1, *(dc3together,ch1,dc3together) on the next ch1 sp, ch1)*. Repeat *to* 7 times. Slst on top of starting ch2, dctogether. (8(dc3together,ch1,dc3together) with in between ch1 space). Slst on the next ch1 space.
Round3: ch1(does not count as a st), 1sc on the same ch1 space, (1hdc,5dc,1hdc) on the next ch1 space, *(1sc on the next ch1 space, (1hdc,5dc,1hdc) on the next ch1 space)*. Repeat * to * 7 times. Slst on top of starting sc. Fasten off and weave the ends.
Stiffen the earrings using one part water and 1 part glue mix up well. Dip your work in that solution and air dry it for a day!
After it has stiffened, add the earring hook to center of the shell stich worked in Round3
