Crochet Rainbow Bottle Bag

Summer calls for hydration and it essential to quench our thirst frequently!. This Rainbow bottle bag helps you to carry your water bottle with you!. You can sport it like a handbag or crossbody and looks very cute!. This is a very good project for summer!

I made this bag using 100% cotton yarn but you can use any size 3 yarn to make this bag!.

Materials Needed:

Yarn: Hipster Cotton
Brand: Premier Yarns
Color: Rainbow Rollerskates
3.5mm Crochet Hook
Scissors

For this project I used approximately 150 yards for this hipster cotton yarn.

Abbreviations (US Crochet Terms):

ch: chain

sc: single crochet

st(s): stitch(es)

hdc: half double crochet

bl: backloop

bl hdc: back loop half double crochet

dc: double crochet

sp: space

Slst: slip stitch

Crochet Pattern:

Round1: Magic Ring, ch3(considered as 1st dc), 15 dc around the magic ring. Slst on top of starting ch3.

Round2: ch3, 1dc on the same st. 2dc on each st around. Slst on top of starting ch3 (32dc sts)

Round3: ch3, 2dc on the next st, *(1dc on the next st, 2dc on the next st after that )*. Repeat *to* around. Slst on top of starting ch3. (48dc sts)

Round 4: ch2(consider as 1st hdc st). 1bl hdc on each st around. Slst on top of starting ch2(48 blhdc sts)

Round5: ch1(does not count as a  stitch), 1sc on the same st, ch3 skip 3 sts, 1sc on the next st, ch5, skip 3sts , 1sc on the next st)* Repeat * to * around. After last ch5, slst on top of starting sc.

Round6: slst on the ch3 space once.*(1dc on the 2nd skipped st of the 3 sts skipped in round5.  11dc on the ch5 space of round 5). Repeat * to * round. Slst on top of starting dc

Round 7: slst until the 4th dc on the 11dc fan st. ch1(does not count as a st), *(1sc on the 4th dc of the 11 dc fan stitch, ch3 skip 3 sts, 1sc on the 8th dc of the 11dc fan st, ch5 )* Repeat *to* around after the last ch5 slst on top of starting sc st)

Round8 : slst on the ch3 space once. *(1dc on the 6th dc of the 11dc fan stitch of round 6, 11dc on the ch5 space of round7)*. Repeat *to* around. After the last 11dc slst on top of starting dc

Round9-Round20: Repeat Row 7 and Row 8.

Round 21: slst until the 4th dc of the 11dc fan st, ch1(does not count as a st). *(1sc on the 4th dc of the 11dc fan st, ch3 skip 3 sts, 1sc on the 8th dc of the 11 dc fan st, ch3)*. After the last ch3, slst on top of starting sc

Round22: Ch1(does not count as a st), 1sc on the same st, *(3sc on the ch3 space and 1sc on top of sc of previous round)*. Repeat *to* around. Slst on top of starting sc.

Round 23: Ch1(does not count as a st), 1sc on each st around. Slst on top of starting sc .(48 sc sts). Do not fasten off we will work bag handle continuously.  

Bag Handle: ch2,3dc on the next st of round23, *(ch2 turn, 3 dc on the right most dc I.e the last dc of the previous row)*. Repeat * to* until your bag handle measures 46.5 inches. Make sure the handle isn’t twisted. Slst the last 2 dc with 24th and 25th sc of Round 23. Slst fasten off. Weave your ends.
