Crochet Frog Bucket Hat

My daughter always gives me the best of crochet ideas!. She wanted me to make a frog bucket hat for her for a long time!. I love making this version of crochet frog bucket hat!. This is such a simple pattern that even a beginner can attempt to do it at ease!

Materials Used:

Yarn: Sugar and Cream 100% Cotton Yarn
Color: Hot Green, White, Black, Rose Pink
4mm Crochet Hook
Scissors
Stitch Marker

For this Adult hat I used 1skein(190 yards) of Sugar and Cream Cotton Yarn in Hot Green

Crochet Terms(US Crochet Terms):

mr: Magic ring

ch: chain

sts(sts): stitch(es)

sc: single crochet

hdc: half double crochet

dc: double crochet

Slst: slip stitch

Crochet Pattern:

Start with green yarn

Round1: Magic Ring, ch3(considered as 1st dc), 11dc around the magic ring. Slst on top of starting ch3.(12dc sts)

Tighten the magic ring and secure it with a knot.

Round2: ch3(considered as 1st dc), 1dc on the same st, 2dc on each st around. Slst on top of starting ch3.(24dc sts)

Round3: ch3(considered as 1st dc), 1dc on the same st, 1dc on the next st. *2dc on the next st, 1dc on the next st after that*. Repeat *to* around.(36dc sts)

Round4: ch3(considered as 1st dc), 1dc on the same st, 1dc each on the next 2sts. *2dc on the next st, 1dc each on the next 2sts after that*. Repeat *to* around.(48dc sts)

Round5: ch3(considered as 1st dc), 1dc on the same st, 1dc each on the next 3sts. *2dc on the next st, 1dc each on the next 3sts after that*. Repeat *to* around.(60dc sts)

Round6: ch3(considered as 1st dc), 1dc on the same st, 1dc each on the next 4sts. *2dc on the next st, 1dc each on the next 4sts after that*. Repeat *to* around.(72dc sts)

Round7: ch3(considered as 1st dc), 1dc on the same st, 1dc each on the next 5sts. *2dc on the next st, 1dc each on the next 5sts after that*. Repeat *to* around.(84dc sts)

Round8: ch3(considered as 1st dc), 1dc on the same st, 1dc each on the next 6sts. *2dc on the next st, 1dc each on the next 6sts after that*. Repeat *to* around.(96dc sts)

Round9-16: ch3(considered as 1st dc), 1dc on the next st and each st around.(96dc sts)

Round17: ch3(considered as 1st dc), 1dc on the same st, 1dc each on the next 5sts. *2dc on the next st, 1dc each on the next 5sts after that*. Repeat *to* around.(105dc sts)

Round18: ch3(considered as 1st dc), 1dc on the same st, 1dc each on the next 6sts. *2dc on the next st, 1dc each on the next 6sts after that*. Repeat *to* around.(112dc sts)

Round19: ch3(considered as 1st dc), 1dc on the same st, 1dc each on the next 7sts. *2dc on the next st, 1dc each on the next 7sts after that*. Repeat *to* around.(144dc sts). Fasten off and weave the ends.

For Eyes:

With Black Yarn: Magic ring,ch2(considered as 1hdc), 7hdc around the magic ring, Slst on top of starting ch2 to close this round (8hdc sts)

Tighten the magic ring and secure it with a knot!

With white yarn: ch3 (considered as 1st dc), 1dc on the same st, 2dc on each st around .slst on top of starting ch3(16dc sts)

With green yarn: Round1: Magic ring,ch2(considered as 1hdc), 7hdc around the magic ring, Slst on top of starting ch2 to close this round (8hdc sts).Tighten the magic ring and secure it with a knot.

Round2: ch3 (considered as 1st dc), 1dc on the same st, 2dc on each st around.slst on top of starting ch3 (16dc sts).

Round3: ch2 (considered as 1st hdc), 1hdc on each st around (16hdc sts).slst on top of starting ch2. Fasten off leave long tail for sewing .

Now place the black and white piece inside the green eyelid with wrong side facing inward. Slst on the blo of both white and green eyes.

Blush: with Pink yarn :Magic ring,ch3(considered as 1stdc), 11dc around the magic ring, Slst on top of starting ch3 to close this round (12dc sts). Tighten the magic ring and secure it with a knot .Fasten off and weave the ends. Leave long tail for sewing.

Now fold your hat and place the eyes between 7&8 rows and sew both eyes
