In this pattern I am going to show you how to crochet this easy peasy pineapple Amigurumi Keychains!.
I made them using this super fine velvet yarn, that I bought Etsy store, link below 👇
However you can also use your regular size4 acrylic yarn to work this project!. In case you are using size4 acrylic yarn use 3.5mm crochet hook!
Yarn: Fine Velvet Yarn
Colors: Yellow and Green
3mm Crochet Hook
Pink and Black Crochet Thread
Crochet Terms (US Terminology):
mr: Magic Ring
sc: Single Crochet
sc2together: Single Crochet Two Together
slst: Slip Stitch
We will work on a spiral, so we will need a stitch marker to identify the first stitch of each round!.
Round1: Magic Ring 6sc around the magic ring(6sts)
Round2: 2sc on each st around(12sts)
Round3: 1sc in one st and 2sc on the next st around(18sts)
Round4: 1sc each in 2sts, 2sc on the next st around(24sts)
Round5: 1sc each in 3sts, 2sc on the next st around(30sts)
Round6-16: 1sc in each st around(30sts)
Round 17: 1sc each in 3sts and sc2together in next 2sts around(24sts)
Round18: 1sc each in 2sts and sc2together in next 2sts around(18sts)
Round19: 1sc each in 1sts and sc2together in next 2sts around(12sts)
Attach the safety eyes between 12th and 13th round from the bottom. Leave 7-8 stitch spaces in between the eyes and stuff the pineapple with polyfil!
Round20: sc2together in every 2sts around(6sts)
Work slst to close any small openings you may have!. Slst around to close the opening. Work 12-13 chains and alt on the starting ch, to form a loop. This is where we will attach the keychain.
Start from the round closer to the loop the we have worked
With Green Yarn:
Round 1: *Work 9ch, Slst on the 2nd ch from the hook. Slst on next 7ch. Slst on the starting st and the next st*. Repeat *to* around.
Round2: This will be the next set of layer. *Work 8ch, Slst on the 2nd ch from the hook. Slst on next 6ch. Slst on the starting st and the next st, Work 7ch, Slst on the 2nd ch from the hook. Slst on next 5ch. Slst on the starting st and the next st *. Repeat *to* around. Slst fasten off and weave the ends!
