Easy and Simple Crochet Flower!. This layered flower can compliment many crochet projects!. I am planning to use them in a necklace scarf which will be my next project!
You can use any yarn for working this flower!
I used the left over yarn from the lion brand mandala yarn(with which I was working the scarf), to work this flower!
Materials Used:
Yarn: Lion brand Mandala
Color: Chimere
5.5mm Crochet Hook
Pearls
Sewing Needle
Scissors
Crochet Terms (US Terminology):
mr: Magic Ring
ch: Chain
st(s): Stiches
sc: Single Crochet
dc: Double Crochet
sp: Space
slst: Slip Stitch
Crochet Pattern:
Round1: Magic Ring, ch3(considered as 1st dc), 15dc around the magic ring. Slst on top of starting ch3.(16dc sts)
Round2: ch1(not considered as a stitch), 1sc in the same st, ch3, skip 1st and *1sc on the next st, ch3, skip 1st*. Repeat *to* around after last ch3, Slst on top of starting sc.(8ch3 spaces)
Round3: *1sc on the next ch3 space, (ch2,3dc,ch2), 1sc all in same ch3 sp*, repeat *to* around. (8petals)
Turn the work and work the loops for the next layer of petals. Pick up the loops from the previous layer petals where the sc is worked.
Round4: *1sc in the any loop behind the sc of previous layer petals. ch4, 1sc on the next sc of the previous layer petals *. Repeat *to* 7 more times.Slst on top of starting sc. (8ch4 spaces)
Round5: *1sc on the next ch4 space, (ch2,5dc,ch2), 1sc all in same ch4 sp*, repeat *to* around. (8petals)
Turn the work and work the loops for the next layer of petals. Pick up the loops from the previous layer petals where the sc is worked.
Round6: *1sc in the any loop behind the sc of previous layer petals. ch5, 1sc on the next sc of the previous layer petals *. Repeat *to* 7 more times.Slst on top of starting sc. (8ch5 spaces)
Round7: *1sc on the next ch5 space, (ch2,7dc,ch2), 1sc all in same ch4 sp*, repeat *to* around. (8petals). Fasten off and weave the ends!.
Now sew in 3 pearls to the center of the flower using a sewing needle.
