Simple crochet projects are the ones that I relax from my loooong crochet projects 😀!
This is one of the fun pattern(simple of course!) that I came up with while I was working with one of the never ending crochet project!
‘Choc in the Block’ Mug Rug is a fun,easy and simple crochet mug rug that even a beginner can attempt to do!
Materials Used:
Yarn: Mainstays 100% Cotton Yarn
Color: Brown Stone
Furls 3.5 mm Crochet Hook
Scissors
Handmade tag(Optional)
Sewing Needles
I used approximately less than 50 yards of yarn for crocheting 2 mug rugs!
Abbreviations (US Terms):
ch: chain
st(s): stich(es)
sc: single crochet
dc: double crochet
Slst: slip stitch
Pattern:
Row1: ch20, 1dc on 5th chain from the hook,1dc each on the next 2 chains. *Skip 1ch , 1dc on the next ch, ch3, 2dc on the post of the dc, skip 1ch*, 1dc each on next 3ch, repeat *to*. 1dc each on next 4 ch.
Row2: ch3 turn, 1dc each on next 3sts , *ch1, 1sc on top of ch3 in the diamond st,ch1,1dc each on next 3 sts *. Repeat *to*. 1dc on top of starting ch3.
Row3: ch3 turn, 1dc each on the next 3 sts. *Skip 1stitch , 1dc on the next st, ch3, 2dc on the post of the dc, skip 1 stitch, 1dc each on next 3sts*, repeat *to*. 1dc each on top of starting ch3.
Row4: Repeat Row2.
Row5-Row10: Repeat Row3&Row4. Fasten off.
Cut 10 yarn pieces roughly about 12 cm each and tie them like tassel on each side at equal distance. I used one for every 4 sts. And 5 on each side.

Once they are all tied level them up and sew a cute handmade tag to your mug rug.
