Premier Yarns have launched their Minikins!… These mini yarns are perfect for small projects and I decided to make these mini ‘Tulip Keyrings’ with these Minikins Yarn.
Materials Used:
Yarn: Minikins
Brand: Premier Yarns
Color: Marigold and Mint
2.5 mm Crochet Hook
Stitch Markers
Polyfil
Floral Wire
Keyrings and Leather Tassels
Scissors
Crochet Terms(US Terminology):
ch: Chain
st(s): Stitch(es)
slst: Slip Stitch
sc: Single Crochet
dc: Double Crochet
hdc: Half Double Crochet
sc2together: Single Crochet Two Together
Crochet Pattern:
Round1: Magic Ring, 6sc on the magic ring(6sts)
Round2: 2sc on each st around (12sts)
Round3: sc on one st and 2sc on the next st around (18sts)
Round4: 1sc each on 2sts and 2sc on the next st around(24sts)
Round5-15: 1sc on each st around (24sts). Slst fasten off leaving a long tail for sewing.
Leaf:
Ch12, 1sc on 2nd ch from the hook. 1hdc each in next 2ch, 1dc each in next 5sts, 1hdc each in next 2sts, 3sc in last ch (this should turn your work to other side of the chain) now work on the other side of the ch. 1hdc each in next 2 sts, 1dc each in next 5sts, 1hdc each in next 2sts, 2sc on the starting ch. slst on top of starting sc.
Cut a floral wire measuring 4 inches. Twist one end with jewelry making tools and insert inside the flower as shown
Now fill the flower with polyfil and sew the top as shown
Now twist the other end of the wire. Wrap the wire with yarn to make it look like a stem using a hot glue gun.
Now attach the leaf to the stem using a hot glue gun.
Attach a Keyring and a leather tassels or any other charms of your choice. Enjoy!
