Here I am with yet another plushie pattern with velvet yarn!. These amigurumi pig plushies are so soft and cuddly!
You can also work the same plushie using a regular size 4 acrylic yarn, in that case use 3.5mm crochet hook!
Materials Used:
Yarn: Bernat Baby Velvet
Color: Ever after pink
4mm Crochet Hook
Safety Eyes
Polyfil
Stitch Marker
Black thread
Sewing Needle
Scissors
Crochet Terms (US Terminology):
mr: Magic Ring
ch: Chain
st(s): Stitch(es)
sc: Single Crochet
dc: Double Crochet
trc: Treble Crochet
sc2together: Single Crochet Two Together
slst: Slip Stitch
Crochet Pattern:
We will work on a spiral which means we will not end each round with a slip stitch, hence we need a stitch marker to identify the first stitch of each round.
Head:
Round1: Magic Ring, 6sc around the magic ring (6sts)
Round2: 2sc on each st around(12sts)
Round3: 1sc in one st and 2sc on the next st around(18sts)
Round4: 1sc each in 2sts and 2sc on the next st around(24sts)
Round5: 1sc each in 3sts and 2sc on the next st around(30sts)
Round6-11: 1sc on each st around(30sts)
Round12: 1sc each in 3sts and sc2together on the next 2sts around(24sts)
Round13: 1sc each in 2sts and sc2together on the next 2sts around(18sts)
Round14: 1sc each in 1st and sc2together on the next 2sts around(12sts)
Attach the safety eyes between 7th and 8th round from the top and leave 6-7 stitch spaces in between the eyes!
Stuff the head with polyfil!
Round15: sc2together on every 2sts around(6sts). Leave a long tail for sewing and work slst to close the opening.
Ears(Make2):
Ch3, 1dc on 2nd ch, 1trc on the next ch
Nose:
Round1: Magic Ring, 6sc around the magic ring (6sts)
Round2: 2sc on one st and 1sc on the next st around(9sts). Slst fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.
Sew the ears and Nose to the head as shown!
With black thread embroider the nose !
Legs and Body:
Leg1:
Round1: Magic Ring, 6sc around the magic ring (6sts)
Round2: 2sc on each st around(12sts).
Round3-4: 1sc on each st around(12sts)
Fasten off!
Leg2:
Round1: Magic Ring, 6sc around the magic ring (6sts)
Round2: 2sc on each st around(12sts).
Round3-4: 1sc on each st around(12sts)
Do not fasten off, we are going to join the 2nd leg and work on the body!
Round5: with the yarn in the 2nd leg, work, ch3, 1sc each on next 12sts, 1sc each on each ch on the ch3 on the other side, 1sc each on next 12sts(30sts)
Round6-11: 1sc on each st around(30sts)
Round12: 1sc each in 3sts and sc2together on the next 2sts around(24sts)
Round13-15: 1sc on each st around(24sts)
Round16: 1sc each in 4sts and sc2together on the next 2sts around(20sts)
Round17: 1sc each in 2sts and sc2together on the next 2sts around(15sts)
Stuff the body with polyfil!
Round18: 1sc each in 3sts and sc2together on the next 2sts around(12sts)
Round19: sc2together on every 2sts around(6sts). Leave a long tail for sewing and work slst to close the opening.
Hand:(Make2)
Round1: Magic Ring, 6sc around the magic ring (6sts)
Round2: 1sc in one st and 2sc on the next st around(9sts)
Round3-9: 1sc on each st around(9sts)
Round10: 1sc each in 1st and sc2together on the next 2sts around(6sts)
Round11: 1sc on each st around(6sts). Leave a long tail for sewing!
Tail:
Ch5, 1sc on the 2nd ch from the hook!. 2sc on the 3rd ch, 1sc on the 4th ch, 2sc on the 5th sc. Leave a long tail for sewing!
Sew the hands to the body!
Now sew the head to the body!
Attach the tail to the back in the body!
