I am in total love with this new yarn from Premier Yarns.
These yarn are a blend of Cotton and Acrylic and they are so easy to work with!
In this post I’ll share how to work this yarn for Adult Size!. However if you want to work the same bag for child size , check my Etsy Page for pattern!
Materials:
Yarn: Premier Cotton Fair Bulky, Premier Cotton Fair Bulky Prints
Color: Corn Flower, White, Waves
Approximately 275 yards of Yarn(For Big Tote)& Approximately 135 yards of Yarn(For Small Tote)
Crochet Hook: 5.5mm (I Hook) (or use the hook that obtains the specified gauge)
Scissors
Sewing Needles
Stitch Markers
Leather Tags(Optional)
Gauge:
Using Size 5 Bulky Cotton Yarn and 5.5mm Crochet Hook work,
Row1: ch12, 1hdc on the 4th ch from the and 1hdc on each ch till the end.
Row2: ch2 turn(considered as 1st hdc), 1hdc on each till the end (10hdc sts)
Row3-6: Repeat Row2. Fasten off
It should measure 3.25” (inches) length and 3” (inches) height
We will be working on a stitch called as a Pebble Stitch which is a regular Puff Stitch except that it is worked on the Wrong Side(WS)
Pebble Stitch: * yo, insert the hook in the stitch and pull up loop, * repeat from * to * twice, yo pull through all the 7 loops.
Skill Level: Easy
In this pattern we will work with three colors of yarn. However you can make the entire tote bag in a single color as well.

Crochet Pattern:
Large Tote Bag:
With Color Cornflower:
Round1: ch34+3ch(considered as dc), 2dc on the 4th ch from the hook, 1dc on each ch for next 32ch, 3dc on the last ch(34th ch), (now we will work on the opposite side of the chain), 1dc on each ch for next 32ch on the opposite side, slst on top of starting ch3 (70dc sts)
Round2: ch3(considered as 1st dc), 1dc on each st around. Slst on top of starting ch3(70dc sts)
Pebble Stitch: * yo, insert the hook in the stitch and pull up loop, * repeat from * to * twice, yo pull through all the 7 loops.
It’s a regular puff stitch except that it’s worked in the wrong side like a bobble stitch.
Pebble Stitch Row is always worked in the Wrong Side
Round3:(worked in WS) ch1(does not count as st) turn, 1sc on the same st and 1sc each in next 3sts, 1PS on the next st, *1sc each on the next 4sts, 1PS on the next st *. Repeat *to* around. Slst on top of starting sc(56sc sts and 14PS )
Round4:(worked in RS) ch3(considered as 1st dc), 1dc on each st around. Slst on top of starting ch3(70dc sts)
Round5: (worked in RS) ch3(considered as 1st dc)+1ch, skip 1sts, *1dc on the next st, skip 1sts*. Repeat *to* around. Slst on top of starting ch3(35dc sts and 35 ch1 sp)
Round6: ch3(considered as 1st dc), 1dc on the ch1 sp, *1dc on top of dc of previous round and 1dc on top of ch1 space of previous round*. Repeat *to* around. Slst on top of starting ch3(70dc sts)
Round7-9: Repeat Round3-5.
With Color Waves:
Round10-13: Repeat Round6-9.
With Color Cornflower:
Round14-17: Repeat Round6-9.
With Color White:
Round18-21: Repeat Round6-9.
With Color Waves:
Round22-24: Repeat Round6-8.
Working the Bag Handles:
With Color Cornflower:
Round25: ch1(does not count as a stitch), 1sc on the same st and 1sc on each st for next 8sts Work ch65, skip 19 sts, (make sure the chain is not twisted), 1sc on each st for next 16 sts, ch65, skip 19sts, 1sc on each st for next 7sts. Slst on top of starting sc.
Round26: ch1(does not count as a stitch), 1hdc on the same st and 1hdc on each st for next 8sts , 1hdc each on next 65ch, 1hdc each on next 16sts, 1hdc each on next 65ch, 1hdc each on last 7sts. Slst on top of starting hdc st. Fasten off and weave the ends.

Points to Remember:
Always note the stitch count at the end of each round and check if it matched with the count on the pattern!. In that way you will not miss or add stitches to your work!.
