‘Sunshine Earrings’… just in time for Summer!. Here’s yet another cute earrings pattern!
Materials Used:
Size8 Cotton Crochet Thread
1.25 mm Crochet Hook
Scissors
Earring Hooks
White glue and water for blocking
Crochet Terms(US Terminology):
mr: Magic Ring
ch: Chain
st(s): Stich(es)
slst: Slip Stitch
sp: Space
sc: Single Crochet
hdc: Half Double Crochet
dc: Double Crochet
Picot: ch3, Slst on 1st ch
dc2together: Double Crochet Two Together
dctogether: Double Crochet Together
Crochet Pattern:
Round1: Magic Ring, ch3(considered as 1st dc), 13dc on the magic ring. Slst on top of starting ch3(14dc sts)
Round2: ch2,dctogether worked on current st and next st, ch2, *Work dc2together on current st and next st , ch2*. Work *to* around. Slst on top starting ch2,dctogether.
Round3: Slst on the next ch2 space. Ch3,2dc on the same ch2 space, ch1, *3dc sts in the next ch2 space, ch1*. Repeat *to* around. Slst on top of starting ch3.
Round4: ch(not considered as a st), *1hdc on the same st. (dc,picot,dc) on the next st, 1hdc on the next st, 1sc on the ch1 sp*. Repeat *to* around. Slst on top of starting hdc.
Fasten off and weave the ends!
Stiffen the earrings using one part water and 1 part glue mix up well. Dip your work in that solution and air dry it for a day!
After it has stiffened, add the earring hook to any of the picot st worked in Round4.
