Cute and Beautiful Sunflower Bags!. They turned out so cute, just the way I expected them to be!. Pattern is super easy though!. I hope you’ll enjoy making these bags as much as I did!
Materials Used:
Yarn: Peaches & Cream , Sugar & Cream
Colors: Dark Taupe, Gold, Yellow, White
4mm Crochet hook
Large bead
Scissors
Sewing Needle
Crochet Terms (US Terminology):
mr: Magic Ring
ch: Chain
st(s): Stitches
sp(s): Spaces
sc: Single Crochet
dc: Double Crochet
PS: Puff Stitch
dc4together: Double Crochet Four Together
slst: Slip Stitch
Yo: Yarn Over
Crochet Pattern:
With Color Taupe:
Round1: Magic Ring,ch3(considered as 1st dc), 15dc around the magic ring. Slst on top of starting ch3. (16dc sts)
Puff Stitch: *YO, insert the hook on the stitch pull up a long loop*. Repeat *to* three times.YO pull through all the loops.
With Color Gold:
Round2: slst on the next st. ch1, puff stitch, ch1, (puff st, ch1) on each stitch around. Slst on top of starting puff stitch.(16 puff st with in between ch1 sp)
With Color Yellow:
Round3:slst on next ch1 space. Ch2, dc3together(considered as 1st dc4together),ch2, work (dc4together, ch2) on each ch1 space of previous round. Slst on top of starting dc4together.(16 dc4together with in between ch2 spaces)
With Color White:
Round4: slst on the next ch2 space, ch3(considered as 1st dc), 2dc on the same ch2 sp, 3dc each on next 2ch2 spaces, (3dc, ch3, 3dc) on the next ch2 sp. *3dc each on next 3ch2 spaces, (3dc, ch3, 3dc) on the next ch2 sp*. Repeat *to* 3 times. Slst on top of starting ch3.
Round5: ch3(considered as 1st dc), 1dc each on each dc of previous row and work(2dc,ch3,2dc) on the ch3 sp of previous round around. Slst on top of starting ch3.
Round6: ch1, 1sc on same st and 1sc each on each dc of previous round and work (2sc, ch2, 2sc) on the ch3 sp of previous round around. Slst on top of starting sc.
Work one more square with the same pattern. Work a button loop by working sc,ch8,sc on the mid stitch(ref picture) on one side of the second square.
For the Base:
Work 90 chains, work 1dc on the 3rd loop of 5th chain from the hook and work 1dc on the 3rd loop of each ch till the end!. Slst fasten off.
We will work slip stitches on both the squares with this base.
Place both the squares with their wrong side facing inside!. Now leave 6dc on the base and work slst on the blo of the square starting from the 2nd ch on the corner and flo of each st of the dc base. We will work this way covering three sides of the square. We should have 6dc on the base left on the other side.
Repeat the same of the 2nd square as well. Make sure the wrong side goes inside.
Now sew both ends of the base on one side of the D-ring .
For the Strap:
Work 190 chains, work 1dc on the 3rd loop of 5th chain from the hook and work 1dc on the 3rd loop of each ch till the end!. Slst fasten off.
Now sew both ends of the strap on other side of the D-ring .
Weave all the odd ends!
Now sew a large Pearl to the corresponding stitch where the button loop is worked on the other square.
