Hello All!… I am back with another interesting earring tutorial!… This earrings resemble the ship’s wheel or boat wheel so I have named it as ‘Sailor Moon’ Earrings!
Materials Needed:
Pearl Cotton Crochet Thread
1.25mm Crochet Hook
Stitch Marker
Scissors
Glue and Water(For Blocking)
Earring Hooks
Crochet Abbreviations (US Crochet Terms):
mr: Magic ring
ch: chain
sp: space
st(s): stitches
sc: single crochet
hdc: half double crochet
dc: double crochet
picot: 3ch and work slst on the first st
slst: slip stitch
Crochet Pattern:
Round1: Magic Ring, 12sc around the magic ring. Slst on top of starting sc(12sc sts)
Tighten the magic ring and secure it with a knot.
Round2: ch3(considered as 1st dc), 1dc on the same st, 2dc on each st around. Slst on top of starting ch3 (24dc sts)
Round3: ch1(does not count as a st), 1sc in each st around. Slst on top of starting sc.(24sc sts)
Round4: ch2(considered as 1st hdc)+ch3, skip1st, *1hdc on the next st, ch3, skip 1st*. Repeat *to* around. Slst on top of starting ch2. (12hdc sts with in between ch3 sp)
Round5: slst to next ch3 space , ch3(considered as 1st dc), 3dc on the same ch3 sp, 4dc on each ch3 sp around. Slst on top of starting ch3(48dc sts)
Round6: ch1(does not count as a st), 1sc in same st, 1sc on the next 3sts, 1picot, *(1sc in next 4sts,1picot)*. Repeat *to* around. Slst on top of starting sc. Fasten off and weave the ends.
Now block it using 1 part of white glue and one part of water. (1/2 tsp white glue and 1/2 tsp water) mix them well now dip your work on this solution and air dry it for a day. The earrings must stiffen up.
Now add a earring hook to it!. Ta-da!… Enjoy your ‘Sailor Moon Earrings’
