Strawberries are so in season and hope everyone are gearing up for some strawberry picking in a farm near you!
Here is my love towards strawberries with this cute pattern design!
These cute strawberry amigurumis can be made with regular size4 acrylic yarn or plush yarn of your choice!. Pattern will be same you just change your hook size!
For Acrylic Yarn:
Yarn: Any Size4 acrylic yarn
3.5mm Crochet Hook
For Plush Yarn:
Yarn: Bernat Baby Velvet
Color: Potpourri, Bleached Aqua, Ever after pink
Yarn: I love this Yarn(Hobby Lobby)
4mm Crochet Hook
Crochet Terms (US Terminology):
mr: Magic Ring
sc: Single Crochet
sc2together: Single Crochet Two Together
slst: Slip Stitch
We will be working in a spiral and we will not end each round with a slst, we will start the next round continuously. Hence we need a stitch marker to identify the first stitch of each round.
With Color Potpourri:
Round1: Magic Ring, 6sc sts on the magic ring(6sts)
Tighten the magic ring and secure it with a knot!
Round2: 1sc in one st and 2sc in the next st around(9sts)
Round3: 1sc each in two sts and 2sc in the next st around(12sts)
Round4: 1sc in each st around(12sts)
Round5: 1sc in one st and 2sc in the next st around(18sts)
Round6: 1sc in each st around(18sts)
Round7: 1sc each in two sts and 2sc in the next st around(24sts)
Round8: 1sc in each st around(24sts)
Round9: 1sc each in three sts and 2sc in the next st around(30sts)
Round10-11: 1sc in each st around(30sts)
Round12: 1sc each in three sts and sc2together in the next 2sts around(24sts)
Round13: 1sc each in two sts and sc2together in the next 2sts around(18sts)
Round14: 1sc each in one st and sc2together in the next 2sts around(12sts)
Round15: sc2together in every 2sts around(6sts6sts). Fasten off and leave a tail to sew the opening. Sew the opening if you have any with the same tail!
Working the seed on the surface:
Add the white acrylic yarn to needle and sew the seed on the surface of strawberry as shown!
Working on the leaf and stock-With Color Bleached Aqua:
Leave some yarn and start round1( we will use this to work the stock)
Round1: Magic Ring 6sc on the magic ring. Slst on top of starting sc.(6sts)
Round2: *ch6, 1sc on the 2nd st from the hook. 1sc each on next 4sts. Slst on the next sc st of round1.*. Repeat *to* 5 more times. Slst on the starting st. Fasten of leave a long tail for sewing.
Pull the center string on top and work 4ch. 1slst on 2nd ch from the hook and 1st each on next 2ch. Weave the ends!
Place the leaves on the strawberry with pins and sew it on the strawberry!
Insert the odd ends of all the yarn bits inside the amigurumi using a flat end of metal hook or a small dovet stick!
Make them in acrylic yarn or plush yarn of your choice and enjoy this cute project!
