Crochet Feather Stitch

I can’t describe how beautiful and textured this feather stitch is!. I am going to show you how to crochet this beautiful stitch!. It is reversible and thick!

Materials Used:

Yarn: Red Heart Super Saver Stripes

Color: Polo Stripes 

5mm Crochet Hook

Scissors 

You can use any yarn And Crochet Hook for working this stitch.

Crochet Terms (US Terminology):

ch: Chain

hdc: Half Double Crochet 

st: Stitch 

sk: Skip

FS: Feather Stitch 

YO: Yarn Over

sp: Space

Crochet Pattern:

Row1: ch22, 1hdc on the 3rd loop of 2nd stitch from the hook. 1hdc on the 3rd loop of each st till the end.

Row2: ch1(doesn’t count as a st), turn. 1hdc on the same st, *ch1, skip one st,1hdc on the next st*. Repeat * to * till the end. Last st should be a hdc

Feather Stitch (FS): Yarn over, Insert the hook on the ch1 space of the same st pull up a loop(3 loops on the hook), YO insert the hook on the ch1 space just below the st on the previous row pull up a loop(5 loops on the hook), YO insert the hook on the next ch1 space of the working row pull up a loop (7 loops on the hook). YO pull through all the 7 loops. 

Row3: ch1(doesn’t count as a st), turn, work *1FS on the same st, ch1*. Repeat * to * till the end. Work 1hdc on the last st.

Row4-Row(n): Repeat Row3

Final Row:ch1(doesn’t count as a stitch), work 1hdc on same st, 1hdc on each st across. Slst, fasten off and weave the ends!
