I had many requests for more no sew amigurumi patterns. Although we have a Octopus patterns already available on my YouTube channel and my Blog, this pattern is a no sew pattern and made with chunky yarn!.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Materials Used:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yarn: Premier Yarn Parfait Chunky<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Color: Yellow<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the bow use any size4 yarn of your choice!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5mm Crochet Hook (For Octopus)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3.5mm Crochet Hook for the Bow<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Safety Eyes <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stitch Markers<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Polyfil<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Scissors\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Crochet Terms(US Terminology):<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

mr: Magic Ring <\/p>\n\n\n\n

sc: Single Crochet <\/p>\n\n\n\n

sc2together: Single Crochet Two Together <\/p>\n\n\n\n

ch: Chain<\/p>\n\n\n\n

trc: Treble Crochet <\/p>\n\n\n\n

slst: Slip Stitch <\/p>\n\n\n\n

flo: Front Loop<\/p>\n\n\n\n

blo: Back Loop <\/p>\n\n\n\n

st(s): Stich(es)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Crochet Pattern:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We will be working in a spiral, which means we will not end each round with a slst. We will start the next round continuously. Which is why we will need a stich marker to identify the 1st stitch of each round.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Round1: Magic ring, 8sc on the magic ring (8sts)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Round2: 2sc on each stitch around (16sts)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Round3: (Working on blo only) 1sc in blo of one st and 2sc on the blo of next st around (24sts)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We will work our tentacles later in these front loops. From Round4 on we will work on both the loops.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Round4-8: 1sc on each stich around (24sts)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Round9: 1sc on one st and sc2together on next 2sts around (16sts)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Round10: sc2together in every 2sts around (8sts)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Place safety eyes between 7th and 8th round, with 5st spaces in between.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fill with polyfil!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Round11: sc2together in every 2sts around (4sts). Slst to close the opening. Fasten off. Weave the ends!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Working on the tentacles:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Attach the yarn to any of the flo of Round3<\/p>\n\n\n\n

*Ch12 , 2dc on 3rd ch from the hook, 3dc on the next ch, alternate between 2dc in one ch and 3dc on the next ch for next 8 ch . Slst on next 2sts *. Repeat *to*around . Slst on the last flo. Fasten off and weave the ends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Use a dovet stick to tuck in odd ends of the yarn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bow:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Magic ring, ch4, 3trc, ch4, slst, ch4, 3trc, ch4, slst. Tighten the magic ring and secure it with a knot!.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now wrap the 2 ends of the yarn on opposite sides on the center of the bow few times . Secure with a knot and attach it to the octopus head.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
